Fifth-Inning Spurt Lead Vermont Academy Past Kimball Union Academy

Vermont Academy scored seven runs in the fifth inning, which helped them defeat Kimball Union Academy  11-0 on Friday.  an error scored one run, Aiden Garvey drew a walk, scoring one run, Will Anderson singled, scoring one run, Kaiden McCarthy was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, an error scored one run, and an error scored two runs.
 
Vermont Academy were the first to get on the board in the first when Logan Sinacola singled, scoring one run.
 
Vermont Academy extended their early lead with three runs in the top of the third thanks to RBI singles by Sinacola and Tristan Ayojiak.
 
Milo Tucker earned the win for Vermont Academy. Tucker surrendered three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out five and walking none. Aidan Gracey took the loss for Kimball Union Academy. The right-handed pitcher went four and one-third innings, giving up nine runs (four earned) on eight hits, striking out four and walking two.
 
Vermont Academy piled up nine hits in the game. Sinacola provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Vermont Academy with three runs batted in. He went 2-for-4 on the day. Ayojiak, Sinacola, and Anderson each collected two hits for Vermont Academy. Vermont Academy were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Ayojiak had the most chances in the field with five.
 
Alex Shareiko, Eli Suchecki, and Leo Barta each collected one hit for Kimball Union Academy.
