All alumni and former faculty are invited to join us on campus for Reunion on June 7-8 as we celebrate milestone class years ending in 4 and 9! We look forward to welcoming you back to campus.
Interested in making Reunion 2024 special for your classmates? Join the Reunion Outreach Committee! Committee members will be reaching out to fellow alumni and former faculty to encourage attendance at Reunion 2024. This dedicated group will meet seven to ten times between January and June 2024 and will conduct individual and class-wide outreach. Please email alumni@vermontacademy.org to sign up.

  • Friday, June 7 - Golf, Class Gatherings, Old Guard Celebration

    Guests who reserved an on-campus room when registering may check in to their dorms between 3 and 7 p.m. at Davis House. Guests attending the Old Guard reception and dinner may pick up their registration materials at the dinner.

    Enjoy a round of golf with friends at Hooper Golf Course! Call Hooper at 603-756-4080 and mention “Vermont Academy Reunion” to reserve a tee time for your foursome. Spots are limited and will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis and individual players will be added to small groups to form complete foursomes. Tee times will be released to the public on Friday, May 31 so be sure to book early.

    We proudly invite members of the Old Guard —  all alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago — to gather for a special dinner as we induct the Class of 1974 to your ranks. Hear remarks by Head of School Dr. Jennifer L. Zaccara, share your own Vermont Academy memories and stories, chat with former Headmaster Mike Choukas ’46, and more!

    Your meal will include a dish focused on the principles of the Blue Zones which employs evidence-based solutions to help people live better and longer. Bill Morton ’57 recently joined a Blue Zones club at his local gym and is excited to share some of the insights he’s gleaned from this experience.

    The Class of 1984 will kick off the Reunion festivities over dinner and drinks with classmates and their partners. We anticipate sitting on the deck at Ciao Popolo overlooking the river and enjoying live music while catching up.

    A final head count is needed by May 24. Contact Scott Brenner '84 with any questions about this dinner and to RSVP. 

    Note: Attendees will pay for their own dinner and drinks at the restaurant.
     
  • Saturday, June 8 - Full day of fun including AlumniFest, alumni awards presentation, and more

    Check-in and registration will be open from 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. This should be your first stop when you arrive on campus for Reunion.

    Enjoy whole fruit, coffee, and tea as you peruse Vermont Academy yearbooks, explore some of Vermont Academy’s archives, and catch up with friends.

    Amy Lanterman will host a cornhole tournament! Sign up by 8:45 a.m. to enter.
    9 - 9: 50 a.m.Volunteer Opportunity: Make Fleece Tie Blankets for Project Linus  

    Continue the work that students began this year by joining Vermont Academy archivist and librarian Jessie Liss-Noda to make fleece tie blankets. All blankets will be donated to Project Linus, an organization that provides handmade blankets to children 0-18 in the United States who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need.

    11 a.m.Robotics 101 with Joe Echanis ’79

    Dive into the exciting world of robotics with Science Department Chair and Math Faculty Joe Echanis ’79 as he leads an introductory LEGO Robotics session! This hands-on workshop is perfect for beginners looking to explore the fundamentals of robotics in a fun and engaging way. Participants will learn how to build and program their own robots using LEGO kits, gaining valuable insight into basic engineering principles, problem-solving skills, and coding concepts along the way.

    Feast on a lunch prepared with locally sourced ingredients by Vermont Academy’s Sage Dining Services. Enjoy cauliflower steaks with harissa chickpeas, coffee-rubbed steak with stout glaze, and grilled Tuscan chicken breast. Sides include a balsamic cucumber and tomato salad, mashed sweet potatoes, grilled asparagus, roasted red potatoes, a spring panzanella salad, and house-made herb focaccia with whipped maple butter.

    Enjoy an afternoon of music, food trucks, and fun at Bellows Falls Festival! Take a Vermont Academy shuttle or drive to the Waypoint Center (17 Depot Street, Bellows Falls, VT). 

    Guests who registered to attend Reunion before May 16 will receive a ticket to the festival and a food and beverage voucher to use at the festival. Just by the Vermont Academy table at the festival between 3 and 7 p.m. to pick up your food and beverage voucher! 

    Guests who register on or after May 16 may purchase a festival ticket for $25 as an add-on to your Reunion registration fee. Stop by the Vermont Academy table at the festival between 3 and 7 p.m. to pick up a complimentary $10 food and beverage voucher!

    Shuttles will be available to transport attendees to and from the Waypoint Center as needed.

  • VA Dorm Accomodations

    Overnight housing can be provided in Vermont Academy dorms on a first-come, first-served basis. As space permits, we will do our best to accommodate roommate requests. Guests must reserve on-campus housing via the Reunion registration form by April 30. Registration and housing must be booked at the same time.

    The cost of housing is $50 per person (excluding children under 12 years of age) and includes Friday and Saturday evenings in the dorm and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Bedding will be provided and includes the following items: 
    • Pillow and pillowcase
    • Fitted and flat sheets
    • Light blanket
    • Bath towel
    • Hand towel
    • Washcloth
    Vermont Academy dorms all have shared bathrooms that will be supplied with hand soap at each sink and toilet paper in each stall. Overnight guests should also plan to bring any additional toiletries, heavy blankets, fans, etc.

    Attendees will only be placed in a room with someone else if:
    • Attendees register together
    • Attendees request one another as roommates through the registration form
    Children ages 12 and younger may stay with you in your dorm room. You will be responsible for bringing bedding and an inflatable mattress, cot, pack-n-play, etc. for children staying overnight. Note that children cannot be left unsupervised in the dorms.

    Please see the check-in and check-out times noted in the Reunion schedule. 

    Note: Use of alcohol, tobacco products, and other substances is not permitted in the Vermont Academy dorms.
  • Health and Safety

    The safety and wellbeing of Reunion attendees and the VA community is our priority. Attendees are asked to keep these policies in mind:
    • All visitors are expected to be free of any symptoms of illness.
    • Vermont Academy is a smoke-free campus.
    • Except for service animals, visitors may not bring pets into campus buildings.
    • Open flames are not permitted in the dorms.
