  • How You Can Be Involved

    There are many ways that you can stay in touch with Vermont Academy, and volunteering a little of your time is an excellent way to do so! Here are some of the ways in which you can help Vermont Academy while keeping on top of the latest things happening on campus.
  • Alumni Admissions Volunteers

    If you know of someone considering independent secondary school, keep Vermont Academy in mind! If you want to work with the Admissions Office, you may be asked to attend a school fair near you or interview prospective students and families who cannot make it to campus for a visit. You may also be asked to call student candidates in your geographical area or who share one of your interests.

    Congratulations to the Incoming VAAA Leadership and Alumni Councilors

    Please join us in congratulating incoming Vermont Academy Alumni Association (VAAA) vice president George Atkins ’15 and secretary Kate (Marshuetz) Double ’91 on their new roles. Current Alumni Councilors George and Kate look forward to their new leadership opportunities. Along with incoming VAAA President Amber (Smith) DiPasquale ’02, they make up the elected members of the VAAA executive committee.

    The Vermont Academy Alumni Association honors its most distinguished alumni with the Florence R. Sabin Class of 1889 Distinguished Alumni Award, and this year’s honoree is Dr. William “Bill” R. Chapman ’67. Bill will be honored during Reunion on Saturday, June 4 at 2 p.m.

    Announcing the 2022 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees

    Vermont Academy honors those persons who have made outstanding contributions to the Vermont Academy athletic program with induction into the Vermont Academy Athletic Hall of Fame. This year we are pleased to induct three alumni – Dominick A. Dawes ’99, Shelby L. Johnson ’12, and Patience A. Peterson ’00 – and two special contributors – Franklin H. Geist P ’84 and Russell Williams – during Reunion on Saturday, June 4 at 2 p.m.

    We are so excited to see in-person alumni events taking off this spring! Gatherings in Denver, Boston, and New York City in March and April reinvigorated our spirits and demonstrated the importance of making in-person connections while continuing to provide virtual engagement opportunities.   • One Day for VA Results

    We’re shouting from the top of the ski jump about One Day for VA! The enthusiasm and commitment shown on this day truly reaffirmed our belief in our mission. Individuals from across our community embraced the call to action with 383 donors making a gift, an increase of 25% over last year. Although the event is focused on participation, it did also successfully raise $105,793 for Vermont Academy, an increase of 30% compared to last year.
