October Wildcats of the Month

Liv Brooks ’23, Jessica Sujishi ’22, Kelly Citera ’21, Andres Barreiro Perez ’20
Congratulations to Vermont Academy's Wildcats of the Month, the key contributors to Vermont Academy's athletic and afternoon activities programs for October 2019.

At times this award goes to the person, whose accomplishment in the sport is clearly
outstanding. With the boys’ soccer program we have that person: Andres ’20 over the last
three seasons scored 61 goals, including 25 as a senior this year. - Mr. Brian Gilloran, Head Coach, Boys’ Varsity Soccer

Kelly Citera has given her all to the Morning Mist all season! She’s worked tirelessly to help her teammates complete every single segment. Her creativity and passion has inspired so many different ideas. Her energy has made practice more fun and our shows better than ever. Kelly is a naturally gifted filmmaker and I am so thankful that she made the choice to be part of the Morning Mist this fall. - Ms. Meredith Friel, Director of the Morning Mist

In Strength and Conditioning, this fall this student has gone above and beyond during every practice. She pushes herself during every workout and frequently stays after practice has ended to work on hockey-specific exercises. She brings a positive, bubbly, fun attitude to practice every day and is a pleasure to have on the team. Congratulations to Jess Sujishi! - Ms. Nicole Blodgett, Head Coach, Strength and Conditioning

Liv Brooks is a talented athlete and soccer player. What makes her athleticism and soccer prowess extraordinary is that she doesn’t appear to recognize just how good she is. With four years of prep experience, Liv’s prospects for play beyond Lucy field and into the NCAA are bright - and soccer is not even her first sport! - Ms. Katie Stames, Head Coach, Girls’ Varsity Soccer
