April Wildcats of the Month

Thomas Kim ’21, Bode Weber ’20, Maggy Peyton ’20 and Miguel Martin ’19
Congratulations to Vermont Academy's Wildcats of the Month, the key contributors to Vermont Academy's athletic and afternoon activities programs for April 2019.
"I would like to nominate Miguel for his quiet perseverance and humility at each practice and tennis match. Miguel always gives his best effort and uses challenges he encounters to learn and grow from." ~ John Kelly, Head Coach, Boys’ JV Tennis

"I would like to nominate Bode Webber, 11th-Grade. Bode has been the backbone of the lacrosse team this year, doubling the number of wins. Bode has 146 saves, 2 goals and 1 assist in the net so far this year. He has kept us in many games frustrating teams that had us beat in the 1st quarter last year. Bode has also maintained a 3.6 GPA this trimester." ~ Jerry Filler, Head Coach, Boys’ Varsity Lacrosse

"Maggy Peyton has scored approximately 20 goals and has 10 assists for the wildcats. Maggy has been crucial in the team’s most successful season in years. Maggy has the strength and smarts needed to gain control of the draw. She also has a great attitude and we all love to watch her play!" ~ Amanda Hodgson, Head Coach, Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse

"Thomas has been a tremendously committed member to the Strength & Conditioning team this Spring. He comes to practice everyday with a positive attitude and a smile on his face, ready to put in the hard work asked of him. His contagious laughter helps motivate everyone on the team through core exercises at the beginning of practice and he pushes himself during every lift. Thomas deserves Wildcat of the Month because no matter what challenges are given to him during practice, he conquers them with a smile." ~ Nicole Blodgett, Strength and Conditioning
