Lakes Region race hosted by Cardigan School

Mix of soft and hard snow made this course quite challenging for many racers. VA skiers were no different. Lots of soft spots, especially on sharp turns on downhill sections, caused several falls for our skiers. Boys skied first and our leaders Daniel Baker'19 and Trevor Palmiotto'21 finished on 20th and 21st positions. Corey Dunn'20 had one of his best races in skating and crossed the finish line with 32nd fastest time. Patrick Wu'21 finished in 40th place, Jerry Lin'20 in 52nd and Jason Wang'22 finished his first 5K skate race in 66th place out of 80 racers. It gave our team 10th place in the team's competition with 10 teams competing. On the girls side, Mathilde Depery '20 completed her first 5K skate race with a solid 31 st place out of 50+ competitors. Next race is SPS Sprints.
