Students From Liceo Europeo Visit Vermont Academy

On Thursday, November 29, Vermont Academy welcomed four students and a teacher from Liceo Europeo as visitors. They will be on campus through December 10.

Vermont Academy is collaborating with Liceo Europeo on developing a Vermont Academy program to be taught on-site at Liceo Europeo in Spain. This program will allow Liceo students to study the Vermont Academy curriculum during their 11th and 12th grade years and earn a Vermont Academy diploma.

Our visitors will observe and participate in classes, sports and activities, and extracurricular activities. They will live in our dorms with Vermont Academy students as roommates. During their time here, they will create some short videos about Vermont Academy to share with their fellow students back in Spain.

"The collaboration between our schools will create a dynamic opportunity for students and faculty in both schools to connect the Vermont Academy curriculum to an authentic international experience," said Cynthia Murphy, International Program Coordinator. "Building these types of bridges is what one of our Core Beliefs is all about: a Vermont Academy student 'considers the impact of their actions on both the immediate and world community, for the benefit of future generations.'"

We will share news, photos, and videos from the visit here and on social media between now and December 10. A warm welcome to our visitors!
