Welcoming our Students

Patrick Ogden ’19, Standards Board representative, next addressed the assembly. “Trust, Responsibility, Honesty, and Respect,” he said. “Each one of us is expected to uphold these words while here.” After Patrick spoke, all new students, faculty, and administrators signed the Honor Code Book, pledging to obey the Honor Code and its values.

Head of School Dr. Jennifer L. Zaccara gave the closing address, saying, "This contract you signed today tells all that you affirm the values of the school and that you will act with integrity and care in order to preserve the fabric of the whole.”

The evening also included a number of awards.

The Class of 1892 Award

Winner: Wanyue “Jessica” Dong
Awarded to the returning senior who earned the highest GPA during their junior year.

The Harvard Book Prize

Winner: Nicholas Rashkovsky

The prize book of the Harvard Alumni Association shall be awarded to an outstanding student in the next-to graduating class who displays excellence in scholarship and high character, combined with achievement in other fields.

The UVM Green & Gold Award

Winner: Anita “Zoee” Blossom

Given each year to a Vermont resident who has attained our highest academic distinction at the end of the Junior year. The recipient will be awarded a full-tuition scholarship for eight semesters with full-time enrollment and a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Anna Mae D. Fenney medals are awarded annually to those students who maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.67, and have achieved High Honors for each trimester during the 2017-2018 academic year.
