Tilton Beats Vermont In Last Lakes Region Game

Vermont Academy boys' hockey team traveled to Tilton School this afternoon to their last Lakes Region game o the season.
Vermont could play spoiler or Tilton could grab the #3 seed in the Lakes Region tournament.

It was all Tilton from the start scoring 8 second in to the game when Andrew Somerville picked up a bad D to D pass and slid it past Josh Bolding '16 (Calgary, Alberta).  Tilton would score again just 2:13 later off the stick of Justin Robertson to give them a 2-0 lead.

The second period was more of the same with Tilton winning that period as well 2-0.  Tilton's goals were scored by Ryan Freker and Somerville grabbing his second of the night.

The third period was the best hockey to watch of the afternoon.  Both team played well and had chance but both goalies held it all together for a 0-0 period.  The first two period were the difference and Tilton would take the game by a score of 4-0.

Tilton's Zach McWhinnie would stop all 22 shots her face for the win while Bolding was 38 of 42 in the loss.

Vermont (8-22-4 overall, 0-11-1 Lakes Region) will play its final game of the season tomorrow, Thursday, February 25 at Northfield Mount Hermon at 6:00 pm.
