Wilson scored his third goal of the season on an assisted from Jeremy Nadeau-Fortin '16 (Granby, Quebec) after pick pocketed the Worcester defenseman in the Worcester zone and passed up to Wilson who somehow knew he was going to get the puck. Wilson streaked to the net for breakaway and snapped it home past Olof Djurberg, Worcester's goaltender, just underneath the crossbar.
Worcester jumped out to the early lead with Joe Ripa wristing one past Josh Bolding '16 (Calgary, Alberta) scoring his first of the night at the 14:47 mark of the first period. Vermont would answer when Nathan Smith '17 (Wildwood, MO) sniped it short side just underneath the crossbar. Ripa would answer back with at the 0:11 mark of the first period to give Worcester a lead going in to the second period.
The second period would be even with each team scoring two goals. Nadeau-Fortin and Max McLaughlin '16 (Westmoreland, NH) getting Vermont's goals. The score at the end of two periods was 4-3 Worcester.
Vermont would start the scoring in the third period when Tyus Watson-Tummings '17 (Montreal, Quebec) found the puck in a scramble in front to find a loose puck that needed it's home and he made no mistakes finding the back of the net. Vermont would strike again when Wilson would take a pass from Nadeau-Fortin and streak down the wing to laser a wrist shot past Djurberg for the go ahead goal.
