The Bears added two more goals by Chris Durkin and Reed Foster to extend their lead to 5-0 early in the second period.
Vermont would not quit and would cut the lead to 5-2 by the end of the period.Post-Graduate, Ryan Damren '17 (Lebanon, NH) would get the Wildcats on the board at the 16:31 mark with the assists going to John Kondub '19 (Monroe, CT) and Ethan Wing '17 (Nantucket, MA).The Wildcats would not stop there, Mike Belliveau '17 (Madison, CT) would battle for a loose puck and move it up to Tyus Watson-Tummings '17 (Montreal, QUE) who would move the puck swiftly through the neutral zone to Houston Wilson '16 (Philadelphia, PA) who would make no mistake about it and laser the puck top corner on Bonjo to cut their deficit to 5-2.
The Wildcats battled and dominated the third period by putting 16 shots on Bonjo but they didn't capitalize again until the 5:48 mark when John Peloso '19 (Townshend, VT) slammed it home.Wilson and Jeremy Nadeau-Fortin '16 (Granby, QUE) assisted on the goal.
Middelsex would add an empty net goal to cap the scoring for 6-3 final.
Vermont would outshot Middlesex 35-33, but just could not solve Bonjo the way that they had hoped.
Vermont (0-0-0 overall, 0-0-0 Lakes Region) will look to rebound after the Thanksgiving Holiday when they travel to Brewster Academy on Wednesday, December 2 for their first Lakes Region matchup of the season.
