Vermont Academy lost its second Lakes Region game of the year to Proctor Academy
Vermont Academy lost its second Lakes Region game of the year to Proctor Academy. It was tied at the half and for the majority of the second half, the Wildcats controlled the play. Proctor opened the scoring from a free kick in the 27' minute. VA found their equalizer in the 38' minute. After confident build up play, Tyus Watson-Tummings scored from about 8 yards out. The tide then shifted drastically, and the Wildcats were dominating play.
The Proctor keeper made several strong saves in the second half to keep his side in the contest. Against the run of play, Proctor scored the eventual game winner in the 75' minuteon a smart piece of counterattacking. Proctor was able to tack on two more in the 85' & 88' minute respectively as the Wildcats pushed all of their efforts forward in search of the equalizer. Vermont Academy's next match is another competitive Lakes Region game at Kimball Union Academy on Wednesday, October 7th.
