Wildcats Fall in Quarterfinals

#5 Vermont traveled back to #4 New Hampton for the Quarterfinals of the NEPSAC Dorothy Howard School School Tournament. Puck drop was at 4 p.m. This was the third matchup between the two teams this season. The first the Wildcats fell 2-3 in overtime and this past Saturday the two teams tied in the Lakes Region consolation game.

In the first period, both teams came out strong and ready to prove themselves. Each created some scoring opportunities, but both goalies stood tall. The Huskies edged the Wildcats in shots. In the second period, the Huskies were able to open the scoring adding three goals to take the lead. In the third, they added another two. The Wildcats never gave up but were unable to bury the puck.

Vermont finishes the season with a 20-7-1 record. Thank you to everyone for the continued support! We will miss the class of 2020 next year and wish them the best of luck in the future!
