Proctor Rail Jam 2020
The VA side surfers travelled east on route 11 for our annual Presidents week rail jam, hosted at Blackwater Ski Area. Bluebird skies and seasonal temps in the high 20's was the backdrop, as our riders put their season of training to the test on the cold hard steel of Proctors rail garden.
Samson Orlinsky '21 put in the work to finish on the podium in 3rd in a very talented field from 8 schools in the Lakes Region. During the 45 minute jam session Samson was running back up the course to put in as many solid, progressive runs as he could. Also riding well for VA was Emiliano Suarez '23 in 18th, Aaron Brown '20 in 21st, Hugo Nijeboer '20 in 23rd, Logan McAllister '20 in 26th, Maurice Day '21 in 28th and Jacob Copeland '20 in 29th.
Next week we host the Lakes Region Snowboard Championships at our home mountain, Okemo.
