Game #7 vs. Proctor Academy

Coach Cody Staves
Vermont Academy's third game in a four day span ends up in a dissapointing loss to Proctor Academy.
The boys varsity hockey team finished up their 3 game stretch on the road with as 12-4 loss against Proctor Academy who entered this contest (3-2-0). Prior to this game the Vermont Academy Wildcats Varsity Hockey Team had competed in back-to-back games against Holdernss (2-0-1) on Friday  December 7th and Saturday December 8th. The Wildcats allowed Proctor Academy to score the games opening goal and would go down 5-1 following the first period. The second period was filled with scoring chances for Vermont Academy but would allow the deficit to increase to 7-2 at the end of two periods. This game would be cracked wide open in the third period with Proctor Academy adding 5 goals to their already overwhelming 7 goal total to start this period. The team was drained entering this contest and their lack of effort and energy in the defensive zone was exposed because of it. The team looks to get their first win in the Barber Tournament against Princeton Day School on Friday December 14th.
