On Febuary 1st, Vermont Academy welcomed seven other Lakes Region schools to Okemo for our second slopestyle of the season. The course was located on the challenging Crazy Train terrain park. The VA girls threw down the hammer quickly as Kate Gorman '18 put a solid run together to take the win followed closely by McKenzie Curtis '17 in 2nd, Katy Brennan'17 4th, and Lucy Saunders '18 in 6th.

The boys did not want to be outdone, so they brought the heat next. Leading the VA charge was Taylor Hennum '20 in 2nd, Matt Bartelli '19 in 3rd, Alvaro Seculi '20 in 5th, Jay Harris '19 in 6th, Ben Matte '19 in 7th, Henry Hochschild '17 in 10th, Marco Massei '19 in 12th, Gary Huang '20 in 19th, and Mark Hansen '20 in 22nd. Congratulations to the boys and girls teams for taking the meet wins. Next week we travel to Loon Mountain in Licoln NH for our next slopestyle event. We wish Danny Murray '18 a speedy recovery from his practice run fall.
