KUA's Nic Hamre scored two goals to lead his team to a 5-0 shutout victory over the Vermont Academy boys' hockey team on Wednesday afternoon at Choukas Arena.
KUA's goalie Elijah Harris also stole the show making 16 saves as they snapped Vermont's 3-game winning streak and dealt Vermont their first home loss of the New Year.
KUA took the lead at the 2:07 mark of the first period when Hamre was able to solve Vermont's goaltender, Josh Bolding '16 (Calgary, Alberta) and that is how the first period would end.
KUA would add three goals in the second period off the sticks of Dennis Cesana, Jack Doherty, and Hamre again to give them a 4-0 lead into the second intermission.
