Celebrate Vermont Academy's tradition of service on Earth Day by participating in the Days of Service by finding ways to give back to your community during the month of April.
Serve on your own, gather your family and friends, or consider inviting fellow alumni, parents, and friends of VA to join you. If you'd like to open your service opportunity to others, please send the service project details - description, location, date, time, and your contact information - to alumni@vermontacademy.org by March 22 so we can list your event below.
Be sure to post your photos using the hashtags #VAtraditions and #VAserves and tag us (@VermontAcademy) on social media and share a little information with us at alumni@vermontacademy.org. We'd love to give you a shout-out for the wonderful work you do in your community.
Not sure how to support your community right now? Consider one of these ideas:
Collect donations -- non-perishables, clothing, baby supplies, toiletries, etc. -- to support local non-profits
Read to a local elementary school class via Zoom
Clean up a local park
Write notes of support to residents of a local nursing home
Make a contribution to an organization that's important to you
Plant seeds at a food pantry garden near you
We look forward to seeing how you participate in this event!
