Jim Frey '66
Thank you Mr. Frey, it has been a pleasure returning to VA over the years and seeing at least one face that played a huge role in my up bringing.
In Proctor House, you gave us the freedom to grow, and learn, with out feeling you had to check on us every night. There are so many memories to share but not enough space here to write them. So I will end it here with two our your most famous quotes:

Jim Frey! Was always available, always caring, always supportive and continuously made those around him more successful and better. He played a huge part in the successful journey I experienced at VA. I will always be grateful. All the best in your well deserved retirement days. You are the face of VA and you will be missed.

Everybody did in some way, shape, or form. But most specifically, Jim Frey being my dorm master my first year did. Memories? Of course, flooding the rink has to rank high on the list. Wrapping my knees & ankles everyday for football & lacrosse. That easy smile of his (I always wondered what was going on behind those glasses)...... Jim, you were a valued coach, mentor & friend. A simple "thank you" doesn't seem to do it justice, but Thank You; from the bottom of my heart. It is a bit sad to learn of your "graduation" from VA; but you have no doubt earned it, many times over. Best of luck and do enjoy life at that leisurely pace you mention. May the seas upon which you travel always be calm, may the wind always be at your back, and may the sun always shine brightly.

Mr. Joe Echanis and Mr. Jim Frey, thank you for helping me discover and pursue my love for science and guiding me towards my decision in major. Coach Williams, thank you for always pushing me to be better as a baseball player, student and a person every day of my four years. Ms. Wendy Brennan, thank you for helping me develop into the person (and writer) I am today, and assisting in the development of my critical thinking ability. And again Mr. Echanis, thank you for always reminding me that good was truly never good enough. That no matter how well I did anything, that I could most certainly do it better and faster than before. To all four of you, thank you for helping me become the person I am today and preparing me sufficiently enough so I was confident enough to start college and helping me develop a work ethic I am proud to carry with me for the rest of my life.

I could probably list at least 20 names of VA faculty memebers that made a difference in life over the course my four years. Mr. Hearon, the Hodgson family, Mr. Krahn, The Eddys, Coach Bopp, Coach Calver, the Davidson Family, The Freys, Wendy Brennan, Kyle Nelligan, Mrs. Armiger, and so many more. These people were willing to go to the ends of the Earth for me. No matter the time or the place. These people and their dedication to their students meant/means everything to me and the VA community. I can never say thank you enough. There are far too many incredible memories to choose just one, and far too many extraordinary VA faculty members to choose just one. Love you all. Thanks for everything. Means more than you will ever know. I am forever grateful for my 4 years at VA and the people that made it so special.
