  • A big win for Wildcats

    The VA JV Girls were happy to be at home again hosting the Holderness Bulls. The Wildcats played fast out of the gate and got out to an early lead. Offensive leadership from Emma O. was important to the Wildcats success up from while Stella N. Elizabeth P. kept Holderness in check defensively. Lauren E. and Susanna P. both had important goals that helped put the game out of reach. The Wildcats got a big 4-1 win.

  • Another tight game for the wildcats

    Girls JV Hockey hosted Proctor Academy for what would be another strong matchup. The two squads played even for the majority of the game. Both teams had many offensive chances. Goaltender Ella T. played well for the Wildcats. Unfortunately, the Hornets were able to tally a goal late in the game. This online goal was enough to help them secure a 1-0 victory.

    VA Girls JV Hockey traveled to Cushing Academy to played a talented Penguin squad. Cushing got the scoring started early. The Wildcats answered back with some goals of their own. Ellie M. had two goals and Elizabeth P. had one. Despite a strong effort and some offensive success the Penguins prevailed. The final score was 9-3.

  • Cushing - second game of the season

    The Wildcats hosted Cushing Academy playing the Penguins for the second time this season. The game was tightly contested initially but eventually Cushing was able to open up the scoring. The Wildcats challenged the Penguins throughout, and both team battled in a physical matchup. Cushings talented offensive attack was too much for the Wildcats in the end. The final score was 5-0.

    The Vermont Academy junior varsity girls' hockey team is a collection of spirited young women who are eager to learn and perfect their passion for the game of ice hockey. Practices include intricate ice and endurance drills, and with hard work and dedication, our team becomes stronger and more skilled each day.

    We are fortunate to have returning players mixed with some that are new to the sport of hockey. It's wonderful to see our more experienced players help our newcomers to find their spot and have some fun. Our team is continuously learning and each of our players strives for excellence. These students are hardworking in the classroom as well as on the ice and represent Vermont Academy with pride and grace. The team competes in the Lake Region division.
