Baseball - Varsity

Batter up! Spring is in the air and the Vermont Academy baseball team is ready to swing into action. This year, both new and returning players are excellent all-around athletes with years of baseball experience under their belts. The returning players have proven to be tough competitors; the new players add experience and knowledge of the game.

Our professional, well-manicured baseball field, with dugouts, is in a beautiful setting surrounded by forest, mountains, and several other outstanding playing fields. During the early part of the season, our team practices in the gym using our batting tunnel, soft-toss nets, and indoor pitching mounds, or in the hockey rink for infield practice. The team keeps in shape throughout the year on an informal, voluntary basis, by working out in our gym which contains locker rooms and an expanded fitness center. Traditionally, team members have also taken advantage of Sunday outings for pitching and hitting practice.
