Wildcats Drop First Game of the Season

The Wildcats traveled to Governor's Academy today and suffered their first loss of the season 1-2. Although the Wildcats made a strong comeback they fell just short in the end.

After a scoreless first period and several great saves by the Governor's Academy goalie, GOVS was able to capitalize on two Wildcat defensive errors to take a 2-0 lead into the third period.

The Wildcats controlled much of the third period but could not find the back of the net until just under a minute to play in the game. With the goalie pulled for an extra skater, Emma Morel scored to close the gap to one goal. Although the Wildcats managed an additional scoring chance in the final thirty seconds of the game, they came up just short by a score of 1-2.
