Braving the Elements for the Alumni Hockey Game
On Sunday, January 7, 2024, during Saxtons River’s first major snowstorm of the season, the Alumni Hockey Game went off without a hitch after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We were thrilled to once again bring alumni and students together for this special event.
With 17 alumni able to return to play against members of the girls’ and boys’ varsity teams, the final score was 5-2 with the student team taking the win.
The game was officiated by Delaney Cox ‘24 and Carly Guarino ‘26, current members of the girls’ varsity hockey team.
Players were invited to enjoy post-game refreshments in the Warren Chivers Ski and Outdoor Education Center as friends caught up and a fire roared.
