November Wildcats of the Month

JaeHyeong “Andy” Jeon '22, Michael Libutti ’21, Hannah Sethi ’20, and Sydney Henry ’19
Congratulations to Vermont Academy's Wildcats of the Month, the key contributors to Vermont Academy's athletic and afternoon activities programs for November 2018.

JaeHyeong “Andy” Jeon '22

Andy was a late addition to Thirds Soccer but made an immediate impact on the field. Andy practiced an innovative style of play where he would pretend to be asleep on the field to catch his opponents off-guard. We are still unsure if this is an expert playing strategy or not, but it was incredibly effective. The addition of Andy to the Thirds Soccer team was instrumental in our successes this season.

--Drew Choos, Head Coach, Boys’ Thirds Soccer

Michael Libutti ’21

Mike came to Boys’ JV Hockey without the opportunity to practice with our squad. He played in our December 1 game and was unstoppable. Great attitude, team player, happy to be playing.

--Richard Senerchia, Head Coach, Boys’ Junior Varsity Hockey

Hannah Sethi ’20

Hannah is a dedicated rider with a genuine love for the sport, and because of this, she is able to be a mentor to less experienced riders and a leader on the Equestrian team. In our competition, Hannah was consistently the team’s top scorer with several first-place finishes and was an important contributor to the team’s success.

--Amy Lanterman, Assistant Coach, Equestrian

Sydney Henry ’19

Sydney’s leadership on and off the field was tremendous throughout the soccer season and was key to our success in the playoffs. [The 2018 Girls’ Varsity Soccer team made it to the NEPSAC finals.] She kept her younger teammates focused and positive during practices and games, and during the playoff game against Tilton, Sydney held the team together throughout all 100 minutes. She demonstrated both grit and class and represented VA soccer with pride.

--Abbey Edwards, Head Coach, Girls’ Varsity Soccer
