Family Weekend & Old Home Days

On Friday, October 18, and Saturday, October 19, Vermont Academy will welcome all members of our Wildcat community back to campus for our newly combined Family Weekend and Old Home Days festivities!


We invite all families of current students, alumni, past and current faculty members and trustees, and friends of VA back to our hilltop for this exciting event! Fall is a beautiful time to visit campus, spend time with your child, learn more about their VA experience, meet their friends, and connect with other Vermont Academy families.
FAMILY-TEACHER CONFERENCES
Families may schedule virtual conferences to be held on Thursday, October 17, and in-person conferences will be on Friday, October 18, and Saturday, October 19.

Conferences are scheduled in 10-minute blocks. Parents and guardians will meet with teachers and advisors. Information about how to sign up for conferences will be shared via email in early October.

All activities, times, locations, etc. are subject to change. Students are expected to remain on campus through their last commitment. Classes resume on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.

    The school store will be open on the lower level of the Shepardson Center until 5 p.m. The Vermont Academy Parents Association silent auction items will be on display in the Horowitz Performing Arts Hall lobby until 1 p.m. on Saturday.

    Note: The bar will close at 5:45 p.m. as students begin to arrive for dinner.

    Vermont Academy will induct former professional lacrosse player Chad Wittman ’98 and Olympian Brooke Mooney ’14 into the Athletic Hall of Fame. All members of the Vermont Academy community are invited to celebrate this special moment with them.

  • Silent Auction

    The Vermont Academy Parents Association (VAPA) will host their annual silent auction during Family Weekend & Old Home Days. 

    There are many great prizes donated by local businesses and members of the Vermont Academy family including travel, ski passes, VA swag, and so much more!

    The auction will open for bidding on Sunday, October 6, 2024, and will close at 1 p.m. (ET) on Saturday, October 19, 2024. Proceeds benefit VAPA and its activities, which include faculty appreciation and support for initiatives that positively impact student life.
