Winter Carnival Tournament of Cereals!

Each year with Winter Carnival the students get a special selection of highly sweetened and brightly colored cereals for breakfast. Which one will be the most popular? Mr. Peter Ross can't wait to find out!
(Mr. Peter Ross, our beloved Director of Dining Services, led an inspirational rally at community lunch this week. Here are his words.)

Ladies and Gentlemen! Boys and Girls! It’s time for Winter Carnival Weekend! And you know what that means. That’s right; it’s time for The Tournament of Cereal!!!

Please direct your attention to the back of the dining room and welcome this year’s contestants as they make their way into the arena.

First up, all the way from Battle Creek, Michigan, coming off a tough loss last year and hoping for a strong rebound this weekend, it takes a lot of zeros to make a box of Froooot Loooops!

Born in 1964 in Derry, New Hampshire out of love for Grandma Luella Low’s recipe of brown sugar and butter over rice, can I get a little R-E-S-P-E-C-T for the Captain? Captain Crunch!!!

They love ‘em in LA, they love ‘em in Chicago; Motor City can’t get enough! Put your hands together Vermont Academy and get cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs!!

And finally let me introduce our returning champion. When you start seeing pink hearts, yellow moons, orange stars and green clovers it can only mean one thing. Lucky Charms is in the house!!!

Let’s hear it for all our wonderful cereals and…

Have a great Winter Carnival weekend everyone!!!
