Wildcats Fall in OT

On Friday afternoon the Wildcats traveled to New Hampton, New Hampshire to face off with the Huskies of New Hampton School. Puck drop was at 4 p.m. 

The Wildcats started off strong scoring first four minutes into the period. Kaltounkova ’20 beat the goalie high off a feed from Citera ’21. The Huskies responded later in the period scoring two more before the Wildcats were able to add another. Vermont’s second goal was scored by Brooks ’23 off of a Kaltounkova ’20 pass to tie the game. New Hampton responded adding another with less than a minute in the period. The second period remained scoreless with Paquin ’22 making some big saves to keep the game within one. 

Kaltounkova ’20 scored to tie the game for Vermont halfway into the third period to force the game into overtime. Jandusikova ’20 had the assist on the goal. The Huskies were able to capitalize in overtime scoring a minute into the frame. 

Vermont heads to Winchendon School on Saturday afternoon for a 1 p.m. matchup.
