Snowboard team travels to Cannon for freestyle

John Kelly
The Wildcat shredders made the trek up I-91 and over to beautiful Cannon Mt for Lakes Region slopestyle #1 hosted by White Mountain School.
On a rare windless bluebird day in Franconia Notch our young team measured themselves with some strong riders from throughout the Lakes region. Cannon put together a great course that both gave the stronger riders the option to throw down, and the less experienced riders options to progress.

In the girls division Lauren Goll continued her impressive rise in skill and confidence to finish 9th.

Our top finisher on the boys side was Samson Orlinsky in 9th, followed by Logan McAllister in 21st,
Hugo Njieboer 24th, Aaron Brown 25th, Emiliano Suarez 27th, Maurice Day 32nd, and Marcello Santa Ana Moza in 37th. For several of our riders it was their first ever freestyle snowboard competition and each rider gave their all. Next week we travel back to Gunstock NH for race 2 of the season. Come out and witness the action!
