The season of 2020 is open!

With the skate race at Putney on a well prepared, considering a thin snow coverage trails the race season of 2020 is open.
The race was no scoring for the Championship, but it did not take away a competitive component from it. With over 100 skiers from the most of LR schools racing, VA Nordic team demonstrated the progress. In girl's race, Alex Paluszek'20 came in 13 th place. After missing last season, it was a good return to a very competitive field of Nordic racers. On the boy's side, Trevor Palmiotto'21 was or top finisher in 14th position. Jerry Lin'20 had a great race, despite his jet lag after coming back from China just a night before, finishing in 22 nd place. Huxley Holcombe'22 finished his first race in 23rd place, Patrick Wu'22 in 24th, Jason Wang'22 in 25th and Edward Ahn in 28th place. Peter Zhao'20, Gary Zhu'23, Henry Wakabayashi'20, took part in a shorter race for less experienced skiers and performed well in that race.
The first official scoring race for the Lakes Region League will take place next Wednesday at Proctor Academy - classical 5 K.
