Fall Sports Awards Banquet

As the fall trimester came to a close, our teams and activities groups gathered in Shepardson Center to celebrate the season.
Seated by team, they reminisced on their seasons over dinner and settled in to listen to their peers and teams be honored.

Alexei Sotskov, Athletic Director, began the evening giving a short address and then introduced the student-athlete speaker, Miao “Jerry” Lin ’20. Jerry spoke about sportsmanship and his Vermont Academy athletic experience. During his four years, he has participated in cross country, nordic, and golf. He said, “After all, the point I want to tell you is that we all have some good times and some bad times. During those bad ones, you should remember to look ahead. You need to have faith in yourself. There are always people who care about you and help you get through your tough times. And the most crucial point is that you should always try new things. I bet you will find something you have no idea that you love.”
