National Epilepsy Awareness Month

On Monday, November 18, the National Honor Society sold pins to raise money for National Epilepsy Awareness Month. People who purchased pins earned a dress-down day on November 19.
During Community Meeting, four-year senior Gigi Wood ’20 gave a presentation about epilepsy and what to do if someone has an episode. Gigi spoke from her own personal experience as her sister Bri, class of 2017, was diagnosed with epilepsy as a child. Bri, now a junior at Aurora University in Aurora, Illinois, has been seizure-free for over four years.

The National Honor Society raised over $300 that will be donated to the National Epilepsy Foundation.
