Vermont Academy traveled to New Hampton to face a strong Husky side. Vermont Academy played a very disciplined first half. New Hampton plays an organized possessive style attack on their wide turf field. They know how to keep the ball and open up a defense. The Wildcats did well to shift and defend as a team. Despite controlling possession, the Huskies were clearly getting frustrated by their lack of chances. The sides went in tied at the half. In the second half, the persistent attack of New Hampton proved to be too much for a tiring Vermont Academy side.. The quick turn around, hot turf, and yet another long bus ride clearly weighed on the Wildcats as they became quite disorganized at the back. Despite tired legs, Vermont never quit and kept fighting to the final whistle.
