Wildcats Lose in Last Second

The Wildcats traveled to Washington, Connecticut to face off against The Gunnery at 5:15 p.m. Segui ’21 earned her 6th start in net. The game was back and forth with both teams creating some quality scoring opportunities, however, both goalies stood tall. The score remained 0-0 heading into the third. Loya ’20 and Wood ’20 did a great job killing a five on three penalty kill to start the third. In the remainder of the game, both teams continued to battle. With a minute left Vermont took a penalty and the Highlanders were able to capitalize with a second left in the game. Segui finished the game with 36 saves on 37 shots. The Wildcats look forward to the weekend as they have two games at home, Friday versus Pingree at 7 p.m. and Saturday versus Millbrook at 5 p.m.
