The Vermont Academy of today stands on the shoulders of those who came before. We proudly invite members of the Old Guard -- all alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago -- to gather on campus on Saturday, October 8, for the traditional induction of the newest Old Guard members: the Classes of 1970, 1971, and 1972.

1-2 p.m.Registration and Check-in
Fuller Hall, 2nd Floor
Pick up your name badge and a special gift upon arrival. A second registration session will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. under the Wilber Hall Lawn tent.
1-2:45 p.m.Hospitality Tent
Under the Tent on the Wilbur Hall Lawn
Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea as you catch up with friends in the heated tent.

Enjoy an intimate dinner in our cozy tent. You'll hear remarks on behalf of Vermont Academy Alumni Association President Amber DiPasquale '02 and by Head of School Dr. Jennifer L. Zaccara, in addition to having an opportunity to share your own Vermont Academy memories and stories.

Health and Safety
The safety and well-being of attendees and members of the Vermont Academy community is our first priority. By attending, guests agree to follow Vermont Academy's health and safety protocols as we strive to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all.

Health and Safety Protocols:
  • All attendees must be "up to date" (per the CDC definition) with their COVID-19 vaccines, with the final shot administered at least 14 days prior to arrival.
  • Attendees must wear a mask over their nose and mouth in all Vermont Academy buildings while in the presence of students. (Note: During the Leavitt Memorial Patio dedication and the Old Guard dinner, masks will not be required but are encouraged for those who prefer to wear one.)
Plans are subject to change as we continue to monitor the COVID-19 landscape and follow CDC, State of Vermont, and Vermont Academy protocols and recommendations. Further COVID-19 protocols will be shared on this page as needed.
