This is a class that focuses on making connections between multiple creative forms. Students consider imagery as source material for writing, stories as source material for imagery, and then explore the different ways that these can be integrated into the creative process.
The STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) Committee sponsored a field trip to the Hood Museum of Art/ Dartmouth College on April 5th for several guided explorations of the art currently on display. This gem of a museum is less than an hour from Vermont Academy and provided the perfect opportunity for an early April rainy afternoon.
During March break, Vermont Academy students Jamie Kuesel ‘18, Harry Mayer ‘18, Holly Meredith ‘18, and Danny Williams ‘19, en route to their trimester in Spain, spent a week in France through VA Global Programs. Led by French teacher Johanna Schneider and director of the European campus Sergio Vilarino the students spent their time exploring the culture, sites, and food of France’s two most important cities: Paris and Marseille.
