Admission to Vermont Academy is determined on the basis of character, growth and potential. We consider each candidate's school transcript, teacher recommendations, and standardized test results as part of the complete application process. A personal interview on campus is required. There are a number of ways to apply to Vermont Academy. You can download our paper application or download the Boarding Schools Admission Application Form. If you prefer to use an online application, you may use the Vermont Academy online application, the SSAT Standard Application Online (SAO), or the Gateway to Prep Schools application. If you have any questions concerning the application process, please contact Vermont Academy Admissions at 802-869-6229 or email admissions.
Our application and financial aid deadline is February 1. After February first, applications for the current year will still be accepted, however admission will be granted on a space available basis.
We require the SSAT for applicants to grades 9 and 10. Students in grades 11 and 12 may submit PSAT, SAT or ACT scores. TOEFL scores are required for international students who are English language learners.
