Patrick "Rick" Anthony Izzo, Jr., formerly of Greenwich, passed away on May 15, having spent his final years in Dorset, Vt.
The son of the late Dr. Patrick Anthony Izzo and Maxine Hall Izzo, Rick was born in Stamford on March 17, 1955. He grew up in Greenwich, developing a love for ice hockey, boating, music, water and alpine skiing, fishing, travel and the blessings of nature. All these passions were passed on to his children and friends. Rick attended secondary school at Brunswick and Vermont Academy. He later attended New England College, where he played both ice hockey and lacrosse. He married Andrée Hussar in August of 1982. They had four children, whom Rick adored spending time with and were his most cherished accomplishments. His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his children: Patrick Anthony Izzo III, Sarah Elizabeth Izzo, Peri Ellen Izzo, and Andrew James Izzo; his loving mother, Maxine Hall Izzo, of Harrisburg, Penn.; his sister, Paula Izzo Cameron, and her husband, Donald David Cameron, both of Harrisburg; three aunts; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Rick was baptized a Roman Catholic as a child and had accepted the lord Jesus Christ as his savior, and now rests in the comfort of God's eternity. A wake was held at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home in Greenwich on May 23, and a funeral service was held the following day at St. Matthew's Church in Bedford, N.Y. Rick was interred in Vermont.
