Annual Mountain Day at VALE
On Tuesday September 28, Vermont Academy at Liceo Europeo celebrated its second annual Mountain Day. This year we traveled to the National Park of Penalara which is about an hour's drive outside of Madrid.
We hiked to the Lagunas de Penalara which is a glacial lake nestled in the mountainside. Along the way, the students participated in a photo scavenger hunt for plants, wildlife, and rock and water elements. The advisory group with the most photos from the list earned wildcat points in our school intramural. It was a beautiful day and we really enjoyed our hike.
