The Wildcat Session combines a unique opportunity for student-athletes to cultivate their passion for competitive skiing or snowboarding while studying at a college-prep academic program.
We have found that small-group training programs in alpine, freeskiing, and snowboarding is an ideal way for student-athletes to develop academically and in competition for winter sports. Participants benefit from access to training facilities, elite coaching, and a learning environment that is designed to accommodate training and competition schedules. Mount Snow and other local/nearby training venues provide a challenging and varied terrain for the alpine skiers. Our Freeskiers and Snowboarders are challenged by Carinthia Parks, one of the finest parks on the East Coast.
All Wildcat Session student-athletes are enrolled as full-time Vermont Academy Students. Program fees for Mount Snow Academy are incremental and dependant on the level of coaching and MSA immersion.
FALL SESSION
While living on Vermont Academy’s campus, students take classes and play fall varsity or JV sports while also participating in dryland training.
WINTER SESSION
Students will transition to remote/hybrid learning with Mount Snow Academy in December. Students train on snow several days a week while using aspects of the Vermont Academy curriculum with support from MSA & VA instructors. Competition schedules can impact the start and end dates of the Wildcat session on a per-athlete basis.
SPRING SESSION
In the springtime, students take classes in person and live on campus at Vermont Academy. Students can play spring varsity and JV sports.
SUMMER SESSION
Summer ski camps are offered by MSA, which require additional fees.
