Vermont Academy’s educational philosophy is rooted in four historic values of ingenuity, independence, community, and love of the land.

These values create the underpinnings of what we call The Vermont Academy Way, and they represent the framework that shapes the evolution of teaching and learning at Vermont Academy.

Vermont Academy awards non-need based merit scholarships connected to each of the four values: ingenuity, independence, community, and love of the land. These scholarships are for incoming students who demonstrate promise or passion in one of these areas.
