Dedicating the Vermont Academy Class of 2011 Great Room
and Salzman Library
Plans are well underway for the dedication of the Class of 2011 Great Room and Jeffrey and Carolyn Salzman Library scheduled for May 4th. The spectacular transformation of Fuller Hall's second floor was made possible thanks to the Class of 2011, their parents and a handful of other generous parents, grandparents and alumni. We hope you will come to campus and help us celebrate this beautiful new space.
This $830,000 project included the complete restoration of the two beautiful stained glass windows at the east and west end of the room by Neumann Studios of Brattleboro, VT, shelves and study space to create a library, building a home and storage space for the Academy’s archive collection, reclamation of the original ceiling, installation of an elevator and the updating of bathrooms on the first floor and addition of bathrooms on the second floor.
While the space was made available to students and faculty in January, we will gather to formally dedicate this wonderful new space on Friday, May 4th. The reception and dedication will begin at 5:30 pm. As part of the event, artist Matt Neuman, VA class of 2003, will exhibit his art work with half of all sales going to Vermont Academy.
