| | Bio | Elizabeth Giguere has been performing for over 20 years. She graduated with a degree in Performing Arts with a focus on voice and music theater from Sweet Briar College in 2003. Since then she has been living, directing, teaching and performing in southwestern NH and southeastern VT, and worked for 5 years as the Administrative and Managing Director for Main Street Arts (a community arts center in Saxtons River). She is currently the Voice and Music Theater Instructor for Vermont Academy, where she is the Director of the Vocal Ensemble and Music Director for the music theater program. She also teaches voice and beginning piano privately. Giguere has been seen on concert and theatrical stages in New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts and Virginia. Her favorite music theater roles include: Esther Smith in Meet Me In St. Louis, Jenny in Quilters, Eva Peron in Evita, Polly Baker in Crazy for You; and her opera roles include: Phoebe in The Yeomen of the Guard, and Constance in The Sorcerer. Her music direction credits include: Quilters, Crazy for You, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Little Shop of Horrors, The Putnam County Spelling Bee and many additional concerts and presentations at Main Street Arts and Vermont Academy. Giguere has recently sung with the Blanch Moyse Choral (soloist), under the direction of Mary Westbrook-Ghia, and studied voice with Cheryl Lafond, Fredrik Shuetze, Allen Huszti and Kristen Charmichael-Bowers.
