| Mr. Collins is Rhode Island born and Rhode Island bred! Go RAMS!!! He attended The University of Rhode Island and graduated in 1990 with a BS in Secondary Education and in 1991 with a BA in Biology. At URI, Mr. Collins participated in crew, the Catholic Students Association and did neural development research. After nineteen years of teaching in public schools, Mr. Collins is very excited to begin his twentieth year of teaching here at Vermont Academy. He has, in the past, taught Honor Biology, College Prep Biology, Honors Anatomy/Physiology and AP Biology. During his summers he has worked at The Roger Williams Park Zoo, published neuro-endocrine research, led student expeditions to Bolivia and Peru, rehabed an old Vermont Cabin and coached at an elite rowing camp. Mr. Collins and his partner David live in Alumni Hall and look forward to being a part of the Vermont Academy community.
