| | Bio | Sean joined Vermont Academy in July as the sixteenth Head of School. He is living in Leavitt House with his wife, Wendy, their daughters, Molly, Katy, and Abby, and their yellow Labrador, Henry. Prior to coming to VA, Sean taught English, coached football, and served in various administrative roles at Brunswick School, Salisbury School, Millbrook School, and Hotchkiss School spanning 17 years. As a teacher and student of literature, Sean is a huge fan of William Faulkner, James Joyce, Toni Morrison, and Gabriel Garcia-Marquez. Allegiances to the New York Giants and the Boston Red Sox often draw puzzled looks. When not in his office in Fuller Hall, Sean enjoys spending time with his family, reading good literature, skiing, golfing, and hiking.
