Mr. Sorci grew up, attended and later worked at the Northfield Mount Hermon school. He Majored in Cultural Anthropology at the Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Co. Inspired by the student-athletes that he coached, Tony decided to tryout for a professional lacrosse team.
Tony played three seasons as a transition player and defensive specialist. His first team was with the St. Regis Indians (Major Series Lacrosse in the OLA) in the summer time which lead to two seasons with the Buffalo Bandits (National Lacrosse League) during the winters.
Coach Sorci has been an assistant lacrosse coach for seven seasons at several different prep schools up and down the east coast. He spent his first three seasons with the NMH school, two springs at the St. Andrews school in Middletown, Delaware as well as two seasons here at the Vermont Academy. We are extremely excited to have his knowledge and expertise at our fingertips and think he will be a wonderful addition to the residential life program and of course the Boys Varsity lacrosse program.
In accompany to all of this, Tony will co-teaching Senior English as well as the newly added Native American History course. |
