At 6:05 AM, we got up by the sound of the bishop’s boat coming and saw Santiago passed by us. It was really crowded. People was hailing bishops. When Santiago saw us, he ran desperately to his house. Chasing from other side, we saw the door was closing. Then, we stabbed him from the back multiple times. He tried to resist and fight back, which made us a little nervous. However, he was powerless in front of our knives. Poor Santiago. It was little after the clock hit seven when we fled after the mission had succeeded.

We went to the bar to look for Santiago but could not find him. We just told Clotilde Armanta about our plan at four o’clock.

At five o’clock, because Mayor Aponte took our knives to stop our plan, we had to go back to house and get other knives. He must have heard it from Clotilde Armanta. Pedro hesitated to move on the plan even though he planned the murder. Pedro was in fear and panic. Cold sweat wet his whole body. It was time for me to enforce him, so the plan could not be delayed.

Angela was beaten by her mother that night and said that her virginity was taken by Santiago Nasar. Astounded by that, we decided to take him down and take back the honor of our sister. So, we went to pigsty and grabbed the knives to kill Santiago. We went to meat market to sharpen knives at 3:20 in the morning and told everybody that we would kill Santiago. Others thought we were joking around, and asked why we would kill him. We did not tell the reason, but we did say that he just deserved death. People did not seem to believe our plan. Our plan spread out quickly through the town.

On February 7th, the wedding of Angela and Bayardo took place. Everybody was enjoying the party, drinking massively, chattering, and dancing until one o’clock in the morning. However, Bayardo returns Angela on that night (about 1:00 AM) because he found out that she had lost her virginity.

Bayardo gave a music box by buying all of the raffle tickets. Angela did not feel happy about the music box, so we, the twin brothers, went to Bayardo’s place to give it back. We actually found out that he had great personality, and we liked him. There was no reason for us to prevent him from approaching our sister. Also, he bought a house from Widower Xious, who was really reluctant to sell his house because of the memories that he had with his wife only because Angela said that she wanted that house.
